Certification Procedure

ASQMS auditors (Assistant Auditors and Auditors) can obtain credentials through the following steps.

Overview of Qualification Steps:

  • Meet the eligibility requirements for auditor application.
  • Obtain the Assistant Auditor qualification through approved training and examination.
  • Fulfill the requirements for promotion to Auditor.
  • Once qualified, Auditors are affiliated with a Certification Body (CB) and perform auditing activities.

Eligibility Requirements

  • University education and general work experience.
  • Professional experience in software-related fields.
  • Experience or qualifications in auditing or evaluating standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ASPICE, CMMI, or ISO/IEC 27001.
  • Completion of ASQMS training programs (quality system and software-related education).

Qualification Training and Examination

  • Complete ASQMS-certified qualification training.
  • Pass the ASQMS-certified qualification examination.
  • Upon completion and passing, obtain Assistant Auditor qualification.

Assistant Auditors may participate in audits under the supervision of a qualified Auditor.

Promotion to Auditor

  • Perform at least two audits under the supervision of a qualified Auditor.
  • Receive a recommendation from the CB for an interview with the ASQMS management organization.
  • Upon passing the interview, the candidate is eligible to act as an Auditor.

Auditor Qualification and CB Activities

  • Auditor must successfully complete an internal witnessing audit conducted by the CB.
  • The internal witnessing audit must last at least two days and cover the full audit process.

Upon successful completion, the individual obtains full Certified Auditor status.
