Certification Maintenance

ASQMS Assistant Auditors and Auditors must maintain their qualifications through annual approval and three-year renewal.
The requirements for maintaining qualification are as follows.

Annual Approval

Assistant Auditors

  • Complete at least 16 hours of Continuing Personal Development (CPD) annually.
  • Training must cover quality management systems, auditing techniques, and software.
  • At least 8 hours must focus on software.

Auditors

  • Perform at least one audit per year (initial or re-certification audit).
  • If the audit is not an initial or re-certification audit, conduct at least two surveillance audits annually.
  • If no audit is conducted in a year, complete at least 24 hours of CPD training.
  • Address any complaints from audited organizations or issues found during CB witnessing audits.
  • All related documents must be submitted to and approved by the management office.

Renewal (Every 3 Years)

Assistant Auditors

  • Submit a renewal application 90 days before the qualification expiry date.
  • Must have no issues during annual approval procedures.
  • Renewal is permitted only once.
  • After one renewal, the individual must be promoted to Auditor within three years; otherwise, the qualification will be revoked.

Auditors

  • Submit a renewal application 90 days before the qualification expiry date.
  • Must have no issues during annual approval procedures.
